A few days ago we decided to give Ang a break and babysit the kids for the afternoon. It was such a nice day out that a walk in the woods was a must. However our dogs Harley & Bear simply refused to be left home alone, so they had to come along too. Of course we couldn't let them both run together so Wifey had to keep Harley on a leash.
There were many interesting things to see for everyone.
Aden and Bear got a little ways ahead.
When Ethan saw this he took off running to catch up but had a little stumble over a twig.
Here is a picture of our house from the woods.
An acorn from last fall that the deer and squirrels missed and some dried tree fungus.
Evidence of Hunters, hey, these don't belong together!!!
I guess I took too much time snapping photo's.
Oh Look, a creek to play in.....
with a little help.
and tree's to climb....
with a little help.
and a log to walk on.
And a Bear to catch....
Can you see why I sometimes call him "Smilin' Jack"?
This tree hugging got me to thinking about a certain blog friend....so.....
But before we headed back home Wifey grabbed the camea and took this picture of me admiring the scenery.
NO, IT IS NOT WHAT YOU ARE THINKING IT IS.

However, after Aden found out I asked her to do this to put in a blog for Warren she wasn't too happy about it. As a matter of fact she was devistated!

There were children present after all !!!
Jeez!!! I really was just admiring the view of Spring in the woods!

It was a set-up shot just for Warren. But we had a great time.
That's gross! I can't believe you let the dog in the creek!
HA! Just kidding! I am quite proud...esp Ethan...he looks like he got a good dose of fiber! Well done boy! I think we need to start a website..."JunkWeLicked.com"
Hey, come to think of it....I may look into that!
And Gary, that last pic...wow!
Hey Bro: That website sounds like a hit, let me know when you get it up and running.
I wish the pic I took on my first fishing trip would have turned out. It was me licking a live fish! It looked ok an the camera but was way too blurry when I downloaded it, and I couldn't clear it up.
Did I cross the line with that last photo???? Maybe I should have posted it on facebook instead!!!
Ha Ha GW, I knew right away you did that for Warren. I love the picture with Ethan back to at the water. Oh and the last one. A while back as a joke I took one of John and I begged him to let me post, it was hysterical you could tell what he was doing but a branch blocked what he was holding on to.
P.S How come we don't have grandparents like you two?
ROFLMBO!!! What a hoot! You crack me up, Gary!
Looks like you all had a really great walk in the woods. Such interesting things to see everywhere. A couple of them reminded me of the song: "One of these is not like the other" lol!

Kim: I think MM should let you post it, as long as it's a large enough branch to cover his pride.
And we are available as Foster Grandparents anytime for you and your family.
Lisa: yes we had a truely Marvelous time and hope to repeat it again soon.
Sorry I havent been blogging much lately, but hope to get back into the swing of things soon.
