This winter we have noticed a lot more birds than usual visiting our feeder. Most are chick-a-dees and sparrows with an occaisional cardinal....

and mouning doves.....

a few blue jays and a flicker or two

This poor flicker was pushed off the feeder by two mourning doves trying to eat too....

This bush was planted just to give the birds a place to roost near the feeder and they usually get along just fine while waiting their turn to dine.

I could not believe the audacity of the chick-a-dee at the end of the feeder, it didn't budge even when my son plowed snow around it.
