Weather or Not

This morning is quite different from yesterday....

The sun was up there somewhere, but the blizzard that was dropping 12 1/2 inches of snow on us kept it pretty hidden.

This morning  the road was plowed.  A few short years ago, before our road was paved, this wouldn't have happened for a week.

Yesterday was a different story.

My son and his wife and grandson were stuck at the end of our road for over an hour, until a friend of his came to the rescue.  We were supposed to babysit for them but that didn't happen.

This morning the sun is shining and looking pretty.

Late yesterday afternoon my son plowed our road to get here and clean out our driveway and a path to the chicken coop.

And as he was at it, he cleaned off the road so that when the plows finally got here they wouldn't fill it all back in.

But before he got here, wifey decided to go out and do a little shoveling around the door and out to the car.

Then ALL the way out to the chicken coop.  At the time we had no idea that our son was coming over and we had to take care of the animals.

Working her way through knee deep snow until she finally made it to the frozen shut door.
And what was I doing while she was doing this?
Well someone had to hold the camera....

No, actually I had no idea that she was doing all of this, by the time I checked on her, she was over halfway there.

By the time I got dressed up, she was almost to the door, so I grabbed the water jugs for the animals and went out to care for them. After we finished and got back inside to thaw out, the Calvary arrived. So it was back outside to move vehicles.

Today I am sitting here looking out the window at all of this sunshine and snow, wondering where in the heck I am going to have the 2 1/2 cords of firewood being delivered tomorrow dumped.

So if you don't like the weather here in Michigan, stick around a little while...it'll change.
